Today I was able to spend all day in my studio painting and it felt great. Some days I let too many things distract me and only spend a couple of hours painting. I do take a lot of tea breaks but I am able to work on more than one piece. This is one that I started about a month ago from a still life set up down at Harbor's Edge where I teach. The ladies who garden there use the art room so many times there is a beautiful arrangement sitting on the counter. I took it out side to get
light exactly the way I wanted it and took a picture. This morning I was inspired by a painting that one of my fellow dailypainters did and decided to dive into mine again. It is great to have to many artists to inspire you daily. Thank you to Carol Nelson! Hope your day has been a good one!

Such a wonderful day spent with my friend, Susan, who stopped to visit on her way home from a workshop and we got to catch up a bit and paint together. We first had out visit
to Starbucks and then to the nursery to find some pansies and Farm Fresh for pears. This set up was on my white framing table with a light that created some strong shadows and highlights. It was fun to paint, share stories, and listen to some great music while the paint was flying!

This little collie had just given a VERY impressive show to all the onlookers at the Chesapeake Heritage Art Show that I intended a few weeks ago. Her job was to herd the sheep that were brought to the fair by local farmers. It was amazing the course she had to follow and how she got the sheep to do exactly what she wanted them to do at each gate. Afterwards she was
