This weekend's festival which was a fundraiser for Children's Hospital of The King's Daughter

was a great success with support from the local community and businesses. They had live music featuring the River Boys and several other bands, Oysters & Other Seafood, Great Beverages, Big Woody’s, Broken Egg Bistro, Coinjock Marina, Eagles Nest, Margarita Booth, Let’s Talk Wine, Perfectly Frank’s, Garden & Guns Magazine, Chesapeake Sheriff’s Department, Greenbrier Dodge, Lawn Mower Racing, Monster Truck, Top Fuel Dragster, Twisted Diesel, Dock Dogs Exhibition, Corn Hole, Golf Challenges, Skeet Shooting Exhibition, Turkey Shoot, Santa Clause, Christmas Trees Promotion, Children’s Jump Palace, Children’s Face Painting, The Teeny Tiny Farm Petting Zoo, Children’s Duck Blind Challenge, Silent Auction, Raffles & Prizes and more! Fun was had by all!

I am very excited about an event happening this Saturday called The Oyster And South Festival that I will be participating in and hope that anyone who reads this and lives in my area will come out and see me!  I

will have a tent and all my latest paintings to display that haven't already found a good home.
There will be plenty of great food, beverages, and activities for the whole family including oyster shucking, tractor pulls, music, and more.  I am SO happy that my son, Andrew will be home from college for the first time since he left in August and he will be helping me at the festival!  Hope to see you there!

This little collie had just given a VERY impressive show to all the onlookers at the Chesapeake Heritage Art Show that I attended a few weeks ago. Her job was to herd the sheep that were brought to the fair by local farmers. It was amazing the course she had to follow and how she got the sheep to do exactly what she wanted them to do at each gate. After wards she was

This little guy was posted awhile back but I wasn't happy with the background after spending some

time with him.  I am pleased with him now and thought I would share his new look!  Today was spent getting ready for company coming in tomorrow and also doing some marketing work and studio clean up.  I will be getting ready to do a show at Greenbrier Farms Oyster and South Festival which promises to be great fun.  I will have a tent with my latest works and there will be live bands,oyster shucking, tractor pulls, lots of great food, beer, and wine from local eateries.  It will be held on November 20th from 1 to 6.  Please come help support this fundraiser for CHKD and enjoy a wonderful family harvets day!

Hope your weekend has been great.  I have had a quiet one at home with my dog and cat and finally got back to my easel after taking a bit of time off.  It felt kind of awkward for awhile but one I began working on this little guy...I felt like I was back in the groove.  It was fun getting that extra hour sleep last night but now it feels like I should be going to bed and it is only 9:30!  It will be nice to have it
