Well...I had good intentions!  This was supposed to be a video on how to paint a cow.  Let's just say...something went wrong in the filming.  What that was is yet to be discovered.  I was really tickled with myself as I finished it in record time and it was start to finish.  I am going to ask a friend to help me next time...someone more techno savvy than me!  It was a great day of running errands and being out and about.  Hope your Saturday was a good one!  My thought was to do a series of how to videos so I will keep percolating on it!!

This mare was inspired by a trip made with artist friends to paint in Chincoteague.  We did this for several years in a row and the wild horses can be found in the marsh there as well as on the beach in Assateague. Each year they have a pony round up and people purchase them.  I actually painted one several years ago and a soldier in Afghanastan recognized this horse that was known as Surfer Dude.  They had bought his son at a round up.  He bought the painting of Surfer Dude as a birthday gift for his wife!  What a small world.  Well the past two days were spent painting with friends and I always come away inspired and grateful for the camaraderie.  Making art can be lonely at times and those times make us appreciate being with kindred spirits to share the joy of painting!  Hope you had some fun today and do tomorrow too!

This pretty full was taking a walk at the same time I was yesterday.  I thought the colors along the beach were breathtaking...like a kaleidoscope bouncing around as the light hit the surf and lit up the gulls along

Two Irish dairy cows from Valentia!  I love the expression on the one in the back.  It is as if she is shocked at what she is seeing or something she heard!  I love the hairdoos too!  Hope you had a good Monday.  I am still getting used to living in such a busy area.  We had workers laying asphalt in the back of the house, a tree being removed across the street, jets flying above and jack hammers going across the street!  When the sound abated a bit, I got to work on my easel.  I did take a nice walk on the beach.  When I was walking south down the beach, it was lovely with the wind at my back.  Coming home, however, the wind was in my face and a bit of a sand storm on my legs!  No need to exfoliate for awhile! It was great exercise.  My studio felt great after purging so much yesterday.  Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Still working on eating more fruits and veggies every day after seeing the move, Food Matters.  I really enjoyed it and have found it easier to stay on track since watching it.  I enjoy painting them too!  Love the texture on this one...kind of looks like a stained glass window.  Hope you had a fantastic weekend.  I took

Another beautiful walk on the beach today and time spent with my son and his lab, Jet who has a great time chasing a tennis ball out into the ocean.  What incredible strength they have and tenacity to keep

Oy...today was a great day in many respects.  The weather was glorious.  Actually saw people coming and going in bathing suits around the beach area.  I TRIED working on a painting of a sailboat and it is one that I need to scrape.  Then I just doodled this very tight one so I would have one to post! Lol..

Mamma said there'd be days like this...there'd be days like this....my Mamma said.  But everyone has frustrating work days and painting for a living is no exception.  My grand puppy felt my angst all day and was pacing around most of the time.  We did pop out to Tropical Smoothie for an outing and we liked that.  Bailee doesn't like car rides so it is nice to have a buddy who enjoys them!  Oh, and I did sell a hydrangea painting yesterday to a gal in California and a cow on the beach to a lady in New Jersey today.  So there you have it and I shipped several out as well.  Hope you day was a good one.  Tomorrow I teach at Harbor's Edge.  I always love seeing the ladies there and getting out for a bit.  Have a great Friday!

It was a glorious day at the beach and for a drive to Newport News.  I came home reinspired to paint what surrounds me and this particular scene is only a few streets over.  I used a palette knife and lots of paint and watched a documentary on Netflix...well more like listened that was called Food Matters.  I really plan to eat a lot more back to nature like this beautiful scene.  It is well worth watching...very informative.  I think more and more people are waking up to the fact that we can't keep shoveling garbage in our bodies and expect to be healthy!  So I am going to go eat some carrots!  Have a great Thursday!  Eat something good for you too!
