English Cow
12" by 12" original oil on wrap around canvas with sides painted

This piece was commissioned by a lady in England who got married a year ago
and used the image of a similar cow that I had painted on her wedding invitation! I asked if they were diary farmers and she said no that her husband was just a creative fellow and often invitations are very informal in the UK. She said they wanted a more relaxed affair with all their friends and family in the stunning English countryside and wanted their invitations to reflect the mood of the day! They are big fans of the outdoors and their reception venue was a 15th Century barn which is used as a school set amongst the fields and countryside of the South Downs in West Sussex (South of England). They got married in an 11th Century church in a quaint village called Amberley and then onto the reception in the neighboring village of Bury. It sounds like a wonderful
setting for a wedding and I am so honored that they wanted to use one of my paintings on their invitation! As a one year anniversary present to her husband, Anthony, she had me paint their cow to commemorate their special day! Thank you Katy!
