Memories of Chincoteague
9" by 12" original oil on canvas
This piece was done on a plein air painting trip to Chincoteague up on the Eastern
shore. It was a beautiful day in September and a group of us arists were gathered along the road facing this scene with our portable easels and paint brushes in hand. Towards the end of our painting session, the famous Chincoteague ponies were in view and were close enough to capture on film using a zoom lens. Those pictures were saved to use as references for future paintings.
I was pleased with how this one turned out as it captured the serenity I felt that day. This piece is sold but if you would like information on having a painting commissioned or any of my other paintings, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
