Are you wondering what a Brangus is??? I was until a collector mentioned that her husband was going to get Angus and Brangus for his farm! So I had to paint one! This is what Wilkepedia says....A Brangus is a hardy and popular breed of cattle, a cross between an Angus and a Brahman. An animal eligible for registration as a Brangus cattle is 5/8 Angus and 3/8 Brahman. I observed that many keep their ears down like this and they are pretty beefy cows too! I liked this one's face and coloring although they come in black and white too! I got into my studio early today and plan to work on two other paintings as well. Well...better get back to work!
I was SO proud to have completed two paintings and was toning the next canvas a bright pink when I fell down the stairs and sprained my ankle. I am now on the couch with my leg propped up and my crutches close by. I am lucky that this is the first time in my life that I have ever needed crutches. My friend took me to the clinic. We were there with her a couple of weeks ago when she fell down her stairs and needed stitches... it is getting bad then they know us by our first names! Oh well...guess it is time to work on my newsletter and get caught up on some day time tv. :-) The moral of the story...don't attempt to decend the stairs while painting! Thank you for stopping by! Wow- they do look like Brahmas....they had those in central FL (everywhere, pre-Disney days) when I grew up. They really have a distinctive look with those droopy long ears!
Wonder why they are so droopy? I think it makes them really cute.
