This painting was inspired by a photograph sent to me by Shawn who is a collector and fellow cow lover and I did a small study of it back then and named it The Cows Of Garret County. I decided that I needed to do a large close up of them. They look so into the moment. According to Wilkepedia "in Greek mythology as The Three Graces, goddesses of such things as charm, beauty, and creativity".
There you have it. They have it all and they look like they know it! I had fun using both brush and palette knife on this. I started it during my morning painting session with my friends, Barbara and Scott and then some more at Harbor's Edge. It was such a fun day of painting. I am falling asleep at the computer now though so I shall say good night and hope you have a fantastic weekend! I am going to work on a commission this weekend and start a new beachy piece!
