New Beginnings!

It has been quite some time since my last post and I have made some changes in my life.
One change was a move to the city of Norfolk into the neighborhood known as Ghent.
I have been teaching down here for the last five years weekly and also spend time with
friends here so I decided to return to my roots as a city girl and make the move.  So far, I
love the change and last night took a walk in the snow and got some fun shots.

I love being able to walk everywhere and the feeling of community.  You can even take your  dog into the pharmacy and video store.  I truly loved my time at the beach and look forward equally to this new chapter in my journey.  I am living in an apartment built in 1917 and love the tall ceilings and hard wood floors.
I am still painting and wanted to share one from a class that I taught at Michael's.  It is acrylic and is looking for a new owner.  Send me an email if you are interested.  Have a wonderful day and stay warm!

Daisy Delight Floral Still Life Painting Art SOLD

Daisy Delight!
SOLD
6" by 6" original oil on panel
150.

I have been loving the shasta daisies on my walks of late and so much so that I planted some in my
new garden here at the beach.  I loved how the light hit this flower so much that I new I had to paint it.
There is something so powerful about a flower reaching towards the light and taking in all of its energy
and warmth.  I simply cannot imagine a life without flowers in it!  How lucky am I that I get am able to spend time with a flower doing my best to express with my paints the joy it makes me feel?
What brought you joy this day?
I know I promised to announce the winner of the free painting giveaway but really meant tomorrow which is the last day of the month.  I will draw the winner and notify them and hopefully have permission to give their name.  I am also going to redraw for last month as I still have not heard back from the person whose name I drew for it.
Thank you for visiting my blog!
