Sad News To Share
I have not been able to post the past few days as my Mom was hospitalized and passed away this morning. She was 88 years old and quite a pistol. She was born and raised in Waterford, Ireland and moved to Philadelphia at the end of World War II. She witnessed the bombs dropping in London and worked in a munitions factory carrying live ordinance. Always a hard worker, she spent many years working at Sears and Roebuck on the Roosevelt Boulevard and raising my sister and me. She was the proud grandmother to six wonderful grandsons. Services will be held on Monday at St. Mary's Church in Longmeadow, MA to celebrate her life and honor her memory. I will miss you Mom.

Condolences for your loss. Looks like your Mom left a terrific legacy.
Norma, I'm so sorry for your loss. Thanks for sharing with your readers.
I'm so sorry for your loss... I lost my mom 16 years ago and know of the void it leaves in your life. Just remember she is always with you... Take care...
I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. My dad died in February -- also at age 88 -- and we know some of the same things now. Hard stuff. Love, Mary Jo
