Angus In The Snow

Angus In The Snow
6" by 6" original oil

$125

Today's post is the second of two paintings that I completed day before my accident on the stairs and
trip to the clinic.  I stayed on the couch most of the day but did get some work done on uploading paintings and working on my mailing list.  I am excited about all my new follower and collectors! Thank you for your
interest!  You keep me covered in paint and doing what I love.  I also love doing special commissions.  Some people have me paint their special pet or paint a similar cow or rooster to one they like but in a different size.
I will be developing a page on my web site to discuss that more but in the mean time, please send me an
e-mail to normasart@cox.net.  I am excited to have my son coming home for spring break tomorrow and my
older son will be home for a soccer game this weekend in memory of one of  his classmates.  I don't think I
will make it to the Artists Gallery opening tomorrow night unless my foot gets alot better but check it out at 608 Norfolk Avenue between 6:30 and 8:30.  To see more about it, click on my events page above.  I will
have several pieces in the show and it is a wonderful fundraiser for dogs and cats at the local shelter.  Have a great weekend!

Irish Bovine Lady

Irish Bovine Lady
$125
6" by 6" original oil on wrap around canvas with sides painted.

Every child is an artist.  The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.  ~Pablo Picasso

This is a favorite quote of mine as I feel that every day I try to return to that little girl who used to play at her easel with wild abandon and did not have that inner critic nagging at her yet! It is not easy but the fleeting moments when it happens make it all worth while!
I loved the dramatic lighting on this little calf and her dramatic dark ears and nose!  Another great day of painting in my studio.  I will be headed down south again for a visit and to do some painting and looking for new inspirations!  Hope your Thursday is a good one!  Keep smiling!
