Norma Wilson Original Oil Cow Art

Valentia Cow Strikes A Pose
$295
9" by 12" original oil on wrap around canvas with sides painted.

Been working on two projects the last two days and feel like I could fall asleep at this computer.  My kitty cat, Rusty, is in my lap all warm and cozy which is making the situation worse.  She has been sick the past week with a kidney infection and had to have a tooth removed.  They put her under for it and today is the first day she really felt like socializing.  It is so wonderful to have her feeling like herself again.  I have been working on a special pet portrait that a client is giving to husband and a second portrait of an adorable pound pup.  These have been keeping me busy and I hope to start a new challenge soon from Carole Katchen's book.
My other project is de-cluttering my life.  I have been at it for awhile but over the weekend I got a book called Organization For The Creative Person.  Leslie Saeta mentioned it on her radio show, Artists Helping Artists so I had to get it!  I found that I already do some of the suggestions like making a game out of tasks I don't like to do and picking a number of things that I need to throw away in a given time, etc.  They said that most people have approximately 200,000 things in their home at any given time.  I started thinking about getting rid of stuff when my son moved all his earthly belongings in his car to his new apartment. I don't think I want to go to that extreme but I definitely don't use a lot of things that I have accumulated and so the purge has intensified.  So I have begun getting rid of 100 things a day and I will let you know when I cry uncle.  Some things are only pieces of paper in drawers and objects that I don't even know what they are!  Some things are books and magazines that someone else can enjoy and knick knacks that can be donated....that seemed like a good idea at the time but don't hold any meaning now.  It is crazy the things you find...like three basters.  One year I didn't have one and now I have three!  Well, enough of my ramblings....I will be so light and clutter free soon that I will be floating on air.

Norma Wilson Original Oil Cow Looks Down Cattle Art

12" by 12" original oil on wrap around canvas with sides painted.
Hope you are all having a great week so far. Yesterday was a busy day in the studio painting and shipping.
Today began with my computer screen not working for some unknown reason. I took it the the computer guys at Best Buy and they wanted to send it away for 2 to 3 weeks. I decided to ask a friend of my son who works on computers to take a look at it and he fixed it! I am happy to be back online again. Hope your week is going well and that your computers are working well!

Norma Wilson Original Oil Red and White Cow Cattle Art

Today's post is a 12 by 12 original oil on wrap around canvas with sides painted. I had planned to post a black bear this evening but my camera died! I think it is the battery so I will take it in tomorrow and have it checked. It has been such a workhorse these past years and has taken so many wonderful pictures! Today was a great day in my studio working on two commissions and two pieces for eBay. I will post the Yorkie I worked on today soon too. What a cutie! Thanks so much for checking in and for all the contacts I have been getting about pieces in my blog! Have a great day. Click to Bid!
