One of my favorite subjects to paint!  Roosters seem so confident and are such colorful characters!

I have been busy these last couple of weeks teaching both oil painting classes and acrylic.  We painted roosters with my oil group and really had fun!  If you would like more information on class times and pricing, contact me at normasart@cox.net.  Don't miss out on the fun and ask your friends to join you!

Norma Wilson Original Oil Foghorn Rooster Barnyard Art

Foghorn Leghorn

12" by 12" original oil on wrap around canvas with sides painted.

Boy did I have fun with this one! I think it shows. I will definitely be playing more with my palette knives and also different subject matter in the days to come! This one reminded me of Forhorn Leghorn from a cartoon popular during my childhood. Oops! Just dated myself. If you remember him I think you might see something of him in this rooster....i think it might be his feet!

Norma Wilson Original Oil Ready Rooster Chicken Art

Today's post is a 12" by 12" original oil on wrap around canvas with sides painted. It is currently on auction on ebay. Hope you all had a good Halloween. I spent the evening in my studio painting as I had been out and about running errands all day. It was pretty quiet in my cul de sac after the intial flurry of trick or treaters. My son Andrew did not dress up this year as he is too "old" for it now. I remember that was sad to be too old for something so fun. I bought him a bunch of candy though. The problem is when it is in the house....the little kid in me can't resist! Hope your week goes well. I just heard we change the clocks this coming weekend....didn't we just do that????
