Norma Wilson Original Oil Figurative Man Cafe Scene Painting Art

"Afternoon Siesta"

© Norma Wilson, original oil on canvas  5" by 7"

I was drawn to this man who appears to be resting in the sunshine perhaps waiting for his waitress to come take his order. One of my favorite things to do is dine outside at a sidewalk cafe and linger to chat and take in the beauty of the day.

Thirty Paintings In Thirty Days! #7

Wee Splasher!

5" by 7" original oil on canvas with sides painted.

SOLD

I first saw this little girl splashing in the fountain in Savannah years ago.  I have thought about painting her many times since then but it was not until I took on this challenge that it felt like the time was right and I am so happy that I did.  I was able to relive that joy that I felt initially seeing her enjoying the magic of water on a hot summer day!

Norma Wilson Original Oil Figurative Cityscape

Cafe Friends

18" by 24" original oil on masonite board.

While settling back into my studio today I came upon this piece that I worked on while back after spending the morning with a good friend at the Starbucks here in Norfolk, Virginia on Colley Avenue. I loved how the light hit the group and how engrossed they all were in their conversations. There's nothing quite like catching up with friends on a Sunday morning over a good cup of java!
