#142 Captivating

#142  Captivating
9" by 12" original oil on 3" deep gallery wrap
295.

What's not to love about a sea gull walking along the beach basking in the sunlight totally immersed in the moment?  They are associated with all my childhood and adult memories of times at the beach and if you take the time to really check them out...they are so very different from one another.  Each has its own markings and colorings and they come in all shapes and sizes.  I worked on him while painting with my friend Scott who runs London Square Gallery in Norfolk.  He was working on a heron and we listened to some awesome music while we painted.  Tomorrow I will be painting with Adele and Claudia in my studio and we will be working on a still life set up with either hydrangeas or shasta daisies.  More fun to come.  Hope you will check in a gain and see what we create!

Sweet Little Plump Wren In My Garden

6" by 6" original oil on wrap around canvas with sides painted.

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all having a great week. I have been having the best summer with my boys and animals and paint all over the place including my face and hair usually and sometimes even on the dogs. The other day I was vigorously shaking my jar of red paint when the top flew off and paint went everywhere....the carpet that used to be beige, the wicker chair, and tablecloth. My dream studio will eventually have a hard floor that can be wiped. Anyway, Brewsky was sharing in all the enthusiasm by standing close by with tail wagging and was caught in the crossfire. He had a small red patch for a few days until it wore off. It ia amazing how busy I have become with listing my paintings on eBay, working on commissions, and teaching. I love every minute of it and work every day to be more organized and efficient. It is definitely a work in progress. Thanks so much for all the wonderful e-mails, phone calls, and encouragement!

Norma Wilson Original Oil English Red Robin Bird Art

6" by 6" original oil on wrap around canvas with sides painted.

Tonight's post is another in a series of paintings I have been doing on birds and some of my favorites have been these colorful English Robins. Hope you are having a great week so far. Today was a teaching day in the afternoon and I got back to yoga this evening at a wondeful new spa nearby. It felt great to be back again. Tomorrow will be spent in my studio all day working on some commissions and more preparing to teach again on Friday. Thanks for stopping by!
