Thirty Painting In Thirty Days! - Day Six

Yellow Throated Warbler

10" by 10" original oil on canvas

325.

This little bird reminds me of the english robin that I love to paint.  Both are plump and have a whimsical look about them.  I miss having a bird feeder to watch the birds come and go.  What a marvel they are!  Here's hoping you have a marvelous day!

Norma Wilson Original Oil Cedar Waxwing Bird Aviary Art

6" by 6" original oil on wrap around canvas with 3/4 inch sides painted.

Today was all about birds. I listed two this evening...the other is a robin the same size. They would make nice companion pieces. I haven't blogged the past two days because I have been busy reorganizing my studio and taking some "me' time. I feel so refreshed and looking forward to the week. The weather is been so beautiful! I went for a long bike ride this morning and the clouds were so tall and billowy! I almost ran into the curb looking up at them but it was a great "in the moment" experience. There was a wonderful breeze with all the smells and sounds of summer. Life is good! Hope your weekend was resful and restorative. Oh, I got a new upgraded phone that has a keyboard on it. It has a key lock and you have to push OK twice before you can dial. That has been a challenge but today my son called and told me I had just called me. How ironic. That never happened with my last phone that didn't have that feature! It happened in my pocket. I do like it as soon as I learn all about it. It also has a two megapixel camera for taking lots of good reference photos. Have a great Monday!

Norma Wilson Original Oil English Red Robin Bird Art

6" by 6" original oil on wrap around canvas with sides painted.

Tonight's post is another in a series of paintings I have been doing on birds and some of my favorites have been these colorful English Robins. Hope you are having a great week so far. Today was a teaching day in the afternoon and I got back to yoga this evening at a wondeful new spa nearby. It felt great to be back again. Tomorrow will be spent in my studio all day working on some commissions and more preparing to teach again on Friday. Thanks for stopping by!

Norma Wilson Original Oil Bird In The Woods Aviary Art

5" by 7" original oil on masonite board

Hello All,

Hope you are having a Sunday. I just got back from walking Bailee and it was a perfect day for a walk. I am headed up to my studio soon to begin my painting day and decided to post a painting that is currently on auction on eBay and ends today. Perhaps you birders out there can tell me what kind of bird this is. I loved his thick orange beek. Also, I wanted to show one I posted awhile back that is also ending today. Thanks as always for checking with me!
