Little Goat Up Close

10" by 10" original oil on wrap around canvas with sides painted.

Well, the weekend is almost over and the back to school routine is only two days away! We got Andrew some new clothes today and some school supplies. We shopped at his favorite store, 17th Street Surf Shop. All my boys have really enjoyed shopping there. They do have some pretty cool stuff! My big excitement of the weekend was that I broke down and bought a Blackberry Curve. I had gotten an NV2 with my Verizon phone upgrade but once I had it, I realized it was not for me. It is great if you like to text a lot and the numbers on the front are a good size which for my age group is a plus. :-) I had held a Blackberry Curve in the store and felt my pulse quicken a bit but was fearful of taking on any more monthly payments and there is that extra fee for web access. But I decided to get rid of my house phone and that will even it out! How's that for rationalizing? I LOVE It. I can check my e-mail, eBay bids, use voice recorder and hourly calendar to stay organized, and can even twitter while I am at a soccer game! Yes, I am a techno geek. And to think that years ago I resisted getting a computer. Next thing you know, I was taking typing with Mavis Beacon and surfing the net more than anyone in the family and selling my work online! Anyway, hope you had a great weekend. I loved doing this little goat portrait. Hope you like it too! Norma

Like you other animal "portraits" this one is beautiful too. I especially like the expressive faces.
