6" by 6" original oil on gallery wrap canvas with 1 and 1/2 inch sides painted.

Today's post if a painting that I have shown before but last night as I was

working in my studio, I saw it and decided to put it on here again.  It is one of my favorite flowers and one of my favorite paintings.  I really enjoyed painting the many folds of the iris and the combination of brush and palette knife.  I had also gotten a new color that I used in the background.  It is sort of a grayed out green that makes the flower pop.
