Norma Wilson Rooster Chicken Bird Art

Rise And Shine!

24" by 24" original oil on wrap around canvas with 3/4 inch sides painted.

As we let our light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence actually liberates others.

Ramblin' Rooster

Ramblin' Rooster Returns
8" by 8" original oil on wrap around canvas with 3/4 inch sides painted.

I am blogging late this evening as I was at Andrew's last soccer game of the season. They won big time and Andrew scored a goal. The air was really nice and cool and it was very relaxing. I love this time of year!
I had fun earlier today working on this rooster and love the color. Tomorrow I will be working on some bigger pieces for my gallery and another pet portrait. This week we have a lot of preparations for my son Sean's graduation from Virginia Tech. Hope your week is going well. I will write more tomorrow. This piece is SOLD.

Norma Wilson Original Oil Rooster Hen Chicken Cockeral

Really Cool Rooster

12" by 12" original oil on wrap around canvas with 3/4 inch sides painted.

Hope your week is off to a great start. Andrew had off of school today and I was out running errands. I am going to paint my front door, shutters and trim this weekend and had to choose some colors. I went to see the gal who helped me do my family room and we picked two fun colors. One is a brick red for the shutters with kind of a rosy tinge and golden yellow for the front door. I never would have chosen it on my own but apparently it is very vogue these days and is reccomended for people who want to sell their homes. I have golden yellow on my walls and lots of red accents in pillows and area rugs so it should flow nicely. Now I just need to get busy. I also got an area rug for my dining room so it will look nice for the holiday and will protect the floors from Brewsky when he and Sean come home from college. Well, I am going to go to bed early so I will be ready to vote tomorrow! Have a good one!

Norma Wilson Original Oil Red Rooster In The Field

5" by 7" original oil on masonite board. It is currently on auction on eBay.

Still in my studio after a long but very productive day painting. I began five different paintings today which is more than I usually work on at once and actually completed three. I began the day going through all my paints and getting rid of old tubes and discovering some colors and paint that I didn't realize I had! That got me thinking of some new color schemes and I am very pleased with what I came up with! I will be posting the rest the remainder of the week. One cow I did is already on auction....an Irish white cow. I think I'll post that one here on my blog tomorrow night. Another I am working on is of white flowers and a small landscapae of Cape Hatteras lighthouse. I plan on being in my studio first thing tomorrow morning and then I am having lunch with fellow artists down in Portsmouth. We are having our First Friday celebration this week so I am sure we will be discussing that. Come see us!
Happy Birthday to my nephew Kevin!

Norma Wilson Original Oil Rooster Stands Tall Painting

Tonight's Rooster is a a new size for me. I picked up some 6" by 12" canvases today thinking about doing a couple of landscapes but when I looked at them tonight, I saw roosters. Roosters are so colorful and fun to paint. They always lighten my mood and make me smile. It is painted on wrap around canvas with sides painted making framing optional. Till tomorrow....

Norma Wilson Original Oil White Irish Cow Hen Art

12" by 16' on wrap around canvas with sides painted.

Hello all,

What a busy day I had today shipping and preparing for a presentation I gave this evening at the Chesapeake Bay Art Association which was all about eBay. I really enjoyed the group and learned all about some local shows coming up soon. I even had time to list this rooster which is quite the lively guy. Can't believe tomorrow is already Wednesday! I wonder what life would be like if we didn't track time but just allowed the moments to be.... Not sure where that came from. Enjoy!
