Norma Wilson Original Oil Yorkshire Terrier Dog Art

I think I must have dogs on the brain this week with my son, Sean, coming home with his dog, Brewsky for spring break. He is headed to Florida for spring break and I will be taking care of my grandpuppy! I am sure I will be doing another black lab portrait after he leaves. Anyway, I had a request for another yorkie portrait so here it is. It is a 6" by 6" on wrap around canvas with sides painted. Have a GREAT weekend!

Norma Wilson Original Pastel Rocky Mountain Landscape

Greetings!

Today's post is a departure from my oil painting to a soft pastel landscape that inspired me with its breathtaking colors. On a visit to family in Colorado I took in this place and enjoyed very much interpreting it in this beautiful medium. Soft pastels are pure pigment in dry form held together with a gum binder. They look like chalk but are brilliant in their colors and ability to refract light. My method of working with pastels is to cover the whole surface with many layers. This piece measures 11 by 15 and is matted to fit into an 18 by 24 inch frame. It comes with a double archival rag mat in palm beach white and is sandwiched between two pieces of foam core and the image is covered with glassine paper which helps protect it until you can get it framed under glass.
I am off to Philadelphia tomorrow to visit family. I grew up there and still have two aunts and quite a few cousins. I am looking forward to the trip. Hope you all have a great weekend!Click to Bid!
