Rooster In Range

Rooster In Range
$175

6" by 12" original oil on wrap around canvas with sides painted.

I had an awesome day yesterday painting with a friend and then teaching at Harbor's Edge.  We had a full room with lots of creative projects going at once so it was really fun.  I worked on a new large piece in the morning that I will show at a later date.  Hope you have a really relaxing and enjoyable weekend!  I AM
going to tackle reorganizing my studio.  I may get brave and do a before and after picture.  To say it has
gotten out of hand and full of stuff these past years is quite an understatement.  I have been feeling weighed down by all of it and it is time to purge!  Take care and thanks for stopping by!

I just finished this little guy while watching the snow fall outside my studio window.  I have had a lot of interest in roosters lately I think they make great holiday gifts as they bring such cheer!  Hope your days are happy and bright this holiday season!

Norma Wilson Original Oil Rooster Chicken Painting Art SOLD

Early Mornin' Riser  SOLD

6" by 12" on wrap around canvas with sides painted.

I have always admired roosters for their ability to get up so early and greet the day with such enthusiasm. Ever since I can remember I have greeted the day in quite a different fashion. I remember my Mom hitting the kitchen ceiling below my room with a broom handle and hearing her call out NORMA....time for school!!!! Now I awaken to my cell phone and max out on the number of times I can hit the snooze button! Some things never change. Once up and after my first cup of coffee...I slowly adjust to daylight and ease into the day. For now, I will just keep on admiring people who are like roosters and naturally jump out of bed!

Proud White Rooster

Proud White Rooster

11" by 14" on wrap around canvas with sides painted.

What a gorgeous day here in Virginia! Everything is blooming and it was sunny with a balmy breeze! Kind of took me back to when I used to be out playing in our street in Philly and we had until 9:00 'till our Mom's would be calling us in. The Water Ice truck with Philadelphia pretzels would have just come around and we were playing Red Light, Green Light of the girls would be jumping rope....this time of year, school was getting ready to let out and the whole summer stretched out ahead.....ahhhhh the good ol' days! Man, I am wanting a water ice and soft pretzel now!!!! My favorite was lemon lime. :-)
