Hooty

Hooty

I loved how the light hit this owl and brought out all of his beautiful feathers. Thinking of everyone in the path of Hurricane Matthew tonight and hoping everyone can take shelter and stay safe and dry!

Snowy Owl Thirty Paintings In Thirty Days Day Nine by Norma Wilson

Snowy Owl

© Norma Wilson, original oil on board 10" by 20

Available Through Gallery

After a good night's sleep and lunch out with friends, I got my attitude in check and my brushes and palette all cleaned up.  Then I had some fun painting this owl! I had seen this owl on my friend, Beth Royal's timeline on facebook and asked her if I could paint it.  A man was holding the owl and she was able to pet it!  Such a beautiful bird and amazing light.  Tomorrow I paint with two friends and I know that will be fun and inspiring.  Hope you have a great week full of fun and inspiration!

What A Hoot! SOLD

What A Hoot! SOLD
$125

6" by 6" original oil on wrap around canvas with sides painted
.
I really did have a HOOT working on this guy.  He really came to life and made
me laugh!  Some days the paintings come out well, some days...not as I had hoped
and sometimes they come to life and entertain me!  This was the later.  Hope you
had some fun in your day too.
Once again, my cat, Rusty, is laying on my typing arm and like the crazy person
that I am....I am letting my arm fall asleep rather than move her.  She only weighs less
than five pounds though and is SO sweet.  She used to hang out in my son's room
all the time before he went off to college and now she likes me!  I guess I don't want
to ruin a good thing...
If you haven't signed up for my daily updates and monthly newsletter, I have started
a monthly painting giveaway for my subscribers!  I have a sign up box on the top right
corner of my blog!  Have a wonderful day!
