It's been awhile since I painted a white cow on red. It is pretty striking. Still having fun on eBay listing some of my older pieces and new small ones as well. I am growing a following on there and it is exciting to see which subjects draw the most attention. I love the immediacy of response and the excitement of the bidding. Go ahead and check it out! I'd love your feedback on some subjects you'd like to see me paint!

Norma Wilson Original Oil Irish Dairy Cow Farm Animals In Oil Painting Art

Far And Away Home

© Norma Wilson, original oil on canvas 6" by 6"

SOLD

Standing by the bonfire with fellow artists in Ireland going on ten years ago now, I became enamored with the curious white cow in the next field. It was almost eleven at night and the sun was just going down lighting her up and she seemed so curious at what these crazy humans were doing? We all decided to go into my friend's studio and I painted my first cow. I have painted more than I can count since then. The infatuation continues! Hope your week is off to a great to a great start. Do you have any fond memories of cows?

Norma Wilson Original Oil Valentia Irish Cow Cattle Art

6" by 6" on gallery wrap canvas with sides painted....ready to hang from the package!

Today was a great day. My son, Sean, came home from Virginia Tech with his puppy, Brewsky, and we all spent the day together. I always love to have my boys home again. Brewsky is a 6 month old lab and now and weighs 55 pounds. What a bundle of energy. We tried wearing him out a bit with a game of frisby. My older dog who has been really suffering with arthritis pain was feeling much better on her new medicine and actually got pretty excited and frisky....in her own 17 year old way. Sean and I went to Barnes and Noble around lunch time for our coffee and chat while looking at some books. Later I got busy working on a commissioned piece and did this little one. I am very pleased with it. It is one of my favorite cows from my trip to Ireland. All in all.....a wonderful day! Hope all the preparations for Thanksgiving are going well! Click to Bid!

Norma's Original Oil White Irish Cow Art

Today was a crazy anxiety ridden day filled with many interruptions, bored teenagers, a comedy of errors with boxes trying to ship a painting which took MOST of the day and a house turned upside down! Once I got to my easel....it all kind of came clear again....exactly WHY I do all of this. Pure joy! Tomorrow I will try harder to BREATHE! It's about the journey, right?? Hope you are all surviving the heat and enjoying the journey... Today's piece is a 12 by 12 on wrap around canvas and is on auction on eBay!Click to Bid!

Irish Cow Cattle Animal 2

Today's post is another one of my favorite white Irish Cows. This one is also 16 by 20 which is a different format that I am trying. It would make a nice companion piece to the other white cow which has a couple of days to go on auction on eBay. This one listed this evening. Hope you all had a nice day on the 4th of July. It was a lovely day here....today was much hotter and stickier. There were oodles of fireworks around here. They can be purchased legally over the border in North Carolina! Have a great day and thanks as always for checkin in!
