Standing by the bonfire with fellow artists in Ireland going on ten years ago now, I became enamored with the curious white cow in the next field. It was almost eleven at night and the sun was just going down lighting her up and she seemed so curious at what these crazy humans were doing? We all decided to go into my friend's studio and I painted my first cow. I have painted more than I can count since then. The infatuation continues! Hope your week is off to a great to a great start.        I just fell in love with this snaggle toothed cutie. Wonder if she has spied a bird outside the window? Or perhaps she is just wondering when it will be time for dinner. On the eve of finishing my challenge, I am wondering if I will be sad. Kind of like when Christmas comes and goes and while, and you might be tired from all the preparations, but you kind of miss the anticipation. For thirty one days, I have known my mission and get such a kick out of ending up with a new pair of eyes looking back at me in the evening. And the comments and support on Facebook have been great too! So, after I have a couple of days to nap and catch up on the rest of my life, I hope you will send me more pets to paint...because I really LOVE doing it!

 This little fella is quite dramatic striking a post in the sunlight. He looks quite handsome and I bet he is equally charming! Hope you are having a fantastic weekend! I just picked up some takeout Italian and guess what I am going to do? Well, I thought I would paint! He looks ready for a game of fetch. Who could resist? Hope your weekend was a good one. I was up in the mountains celebrating my birthday with family. We visited several wineries and got to meet quite a few winery dogs, horses, and came very close to some cows...not close enough to touch but one day I will hug a cow!

Thses adorable sisters who are fox terriers live in Las Vegas with their family who adore them. They were adopted by my second cousin and I appreciate them allowing me to spend time with them on my easel!

This handsome fellow has passed over the rainbow bridge and good friends of his pet parents asked me to paint him as a commemoration. When I googled the top ten dogs in America, I found that beagles are among those ten. They are a smaller breed similar to the fox hound and are known for their amazing tracking abilities. What amazed me was when I read in wikipedia that Snoopy, the famous cartoon character is a beagle. I guess I hadn't thought about it before.
