Happy New Year! Thirty Paintings In Thirty Days Day One

Zoey

© Norma Wilson, original oil on canvas 11" by 14"

SOLD

This sweet girl was a commission by my son for his girlfriend.  Zoey was found when she was about eight weeks old on a busy street and was badly burned.  After much loving care, she

is looking so healthy and is full of affection and fun!  She was a pleasure to paint!  I decided to jump into the challenge going started by Leslie Saeta to post thirty paintings in thirty days. So here we go! It is a great way to start the year off strong and spend time in the studio.  Hope you will join me as I kick off 2016!  Happy New Year!

Custom Pet Cat Portrait Original Oil Painting Art

Mokie

16" by 20" original oil on canvas with sides painted

SOLD

Such a sweet face on this kitty.  I thoroughly enjoyed working on this commissioned portrait.  It made me remember my own little cat that was with us for fifteen years.  Mokie was enjoying some sunbathing when his owner got this picture. The tablecloth was made by her grandmother.

I have been super busy lately working in a gallery in Norfolk part time called Harbor Gallery on Colley Avenue and also working on commissions for the holidays.  I am excited to have my work in the gallery and also at Stravitz Gallery at the beach.  Thanks so much for checking in with me!  I plan on getting at least another post in this week!

Norma Wilson Original Oil Tabby Cat Custom Portrait Art

Little Tabby

I absolutely love painting fur. As you can see I exaggerate the colors that I see a bit but when you really look closely...you do start to see colors in an animal's fur!

Interested in giving the gift of art this holiday season? I offer gift certificates so your loved one can shop from my available work orperhaps commission me to do a special painting for them. To purchase a gift certificate, click on the button below.
