Loved this combination of black and white on red. I am a sucker for red. Hope your week is going well. I am enjoying all my time spent painting in my new studio. Here is a photo of what it is looking like so far. I need shelves to hang wet paintings and an area rug to take the place of the blue sheet! But I love it. So many memories of my sons down the hall and dogs coming and going.

Lots of room now for their visits and new memories!

Happy New Year! Thirty Paintings In Thirty Days Day One

Zoey

© Norma Wilson, original oil on canvas 11" by 14"

SOLD

This sweet girl was a commission by my son for his girlfriend.  Zoey was found when she was about eight weeks old on a busy street and was badly burned.  After much loving care, she

is looking so healthy and is full of affection and fun!  She was a pleasure to paint!  I decided to jump into the challenge going started by Leslie Saeta to post thirty paintings in thirty days. So here we go! It is a great way to start the year off strong and spend time in the studio.  Hope you will join me as I kick off 2016!  Happy New Year!

Norma Wilson Virginia Artist Original Oil Mango Fruit Still Life Painting Art SOLD

Mango in My Studio Window SOLD

6" by 6" original oil on wrap around canvas with sides painted.

Today I began my day with another great bike ride. The weather is so gorgeous and when I came home intended to work on a portrait I have been working on and a cow commission but this beautiful mango was sitting in my kitchen begging to be painted!

Sometimes you just have to follow your inspirations! It made me smile the whole time I painted. Hope it makes you smile too! For more information on this piece or any of my other paintings, please e-mail me at normasart@cox.net.
