I seem to want to prolong the summer feeling with these gulls at the beach! Our weather is helping to do the same today with the temperature nearing 70 and a beautiful breeze coming in the window.  Others must be feeling the same as these birds have been finding new homes very quickly. I love to watch birds as they seem to busy along the water's edge.  There seemed to be a brief meeting going on here.  It was that magic hour when the sun begins to lower and casts a strong glow on everything.  It's the best time to walk along and take in the sights and sounds of the beach.  

I am having a great time painting for the challenge of thirty paintings in thirty days.  Never quite know what the next day may bring!  Have a wonderful day and hope to see you again soon!

I have wanted to paint this group of birds for quite some time.  Not sure what makes the time right but yesterday was it and I had so much fun with them.  I like their personalities and how the light brings attention to their grouping.  Hope you have a great weekend!

These tropical beauties are a favorite among many gardeners.  I remember my first introduction to them on a trip to the islands many years ago.  Our room had bowls filled with water and hibiscus floating in them.  It was such a pretty display and they would stay pretty all day.  Hope your week is going well.
