Norma Wilson Original Oil Western Bluebird In My Garden

This painting was inspired by a lady who was looking at my paintings on eBay and told me about a western bluebird who has been in her garden. I decided to paint one tonight. Hope your week is going well. Thankfully I have been busy painting and shipping paintings to new homes!

Norma Wilson Original Oil English Robin Bird Art

I really enjoyed painting this little English Robin. He look so puffy and happy! Most of today I was planning a portrait class I am teaching tomorrow. I found a wonderful face of an elderly woman in a colorful headress to use as a reference. I love doing faces of any kind and really had fun preparing for this class. Many people fine faces intimidating and frustrating at first but if you break it down into shapes and a variety of darks and lights, it becomes easier. It is also helpful to turn the face upside down so you don't focus on the fact that is's a face so much! Hope your week is going well! Click to Bid!

Norma Wilson Original Oil Bluejay Bird Art
5" by 7" original oil on masonite board. This piece is available by contacting me for more information. I am out of town until Monday night but will try to check my messages on my nephew's computer. My laptop battery quit working tonight so I am on my sister's computer. We leave for New York in the morning. I plan to take lots of pictures for future paintings. I don't think there will be many cows or roosters in Manhattan but perhaps some new inspirational subjects will emerge! Have a wonderful restorative weekend!
